If you're serious about applying for our
Leadership Programme, you'll probably have a few questions
you'd like to ask us. To save you some time, here's a
selection of the frequently asked questions we've received
along with our responses.
- Q: How much are graduates
paid during the programme?
A: Graduates receive a
competitive salary of £27,500 during the programme as well as a signing-on award
of £2,000. In addition to your salary you will receive a 15% non-contributory
pension, private health cover, 26 days holiday and life assurance, all of which
are part of our flexible benefits package. Should you relocate for one of your
placements (for example, you are based in London but go to Bristol on placement)
we will provide you with a company apartment and core travel expenses.
- Q: How long does it take
someone to complete your programme?
A: Our programme lasts
for eighteen months with an additional two month induction period when you join
us.
- Q: Do you guarantee a job
upon completion of the programme?
A: At the end of the
programme you will be able to apply for permanent roles available in any of our
business areas.
- Q: Where does the programme
take place?
A: You may be based in London or Bristol.
- Q: How many hours a day
does the programme last? Will graduates be expected to work or study after hours
at home?
A: Working hours are generally 9am to 5pm. We
encourage our graduates to be conscientious to get the most out of the programme,
but no formal after hours study is set.
- Q: Can graduates move
between departments?
A: Yes, in fact we encourage it.
Graduates will spend three periods of six months in different departments,
depending on their needs and those of the company.
- Q: What if a graduate wants
to further study in a few years' time? Might the company provide sponsorship?
A: Sponsorship of further education is provided for individuals if the study is
relevant and will add value to the business.
- Q: How should candidates
apply?
A: Go to the 'Apply' section on these graduate
pages and complete our online application form.
- Q: When should they apply?
A: The deadline for the 2008 Leadership Programme intake has now passed. We will
be accepting applications for the 2009 intake from 1st September 2008.
- Q: What's the application
process?
A: Should your application meet our
requirements, the next stage will be a telephone interview. Then, if we think
you're suitable, we'll invite you to our London assessment centre. If
successful, the final stage will be a face-to-face panel interview with two of
our directors.
- Q: Will I have to do
psychometric tests?
A: Yes. We use them to assess your
suitability for the programme at the assessment centre. You can test yourself
and receive advice and sample questions on similar tests here.

- Q: When do successful
applicants start the programme?
A: The starting date for
the 2008 Leadership Programme is September 2008.
- Q: Does Motability
Operations sponsor graduates who require a work permit?
A: Unfortunately, as we receive sufficient applications for the number of
vacancies on the Motability Operations graduate Leadership Programme, we do not
need to extend our search to applicants from outside of the EU. Additionally, we
are unable to help with work permit applications. If you wish to apply for the
Leadership Programme you must have secured a valid work permit before we can
consider your application. |
