Motability Operations ranked 48 in ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Companies To Work For’

Motability Operations has been ranked number 48 in the ‘Sunday Times 2007 Top 100 Companies to Work For’ league table. It is the first year that Motability Operations has entered the competition, meaning the company moved straight into the Top 100. Motability Operations was also awarded ‘outstanding’ status (two stars) in the Best Companies accreditation reflecting the focus on employee engagement throughout the business.

In the Top 100 Best Companies league tables, Motability Operations is in the top five of organisations whose employees believe their organisation makes a positive difference. Motability Operations is the only fleet organisation in the Top 100 Best Companies listing.

Motability Operations manages the largest fleet in any European country - 450,000 cars - and currently buys 7% of all new cars in the UK working with 34 major car manufacturers and over 4,000 car dealerships in the UK and Ireland. The Motability car scheme enables disabled people and their families to use the Higher Rate Component of the Disability Living Allowance to lease a brand new car. Strong industry relationships and reinvesting all profits back into the business allows Motability Operations to manage the most affordable motoring solution available to disabled people in the UK and Ireland. Customers receive a new car every three years and one in 14 of new car cars sold in the UK go to a Motability customer.

Employees at Motability Operations believe that the organisation is run on strong principles (82%) and 81% of people working for the company are proud to do so. Motability Operations is ranked 11th in the overall Top 100 Best Companies league table for profit not being the only factor driving the business.
