Could you play a central role?

Our people come from a wide range of backgrounds. What unites them is their determination, resilience and unwavering desire to get results.

Naturally we look for graduates who are confident and stand out.

We want high calibre people who are commercially aware, proactive and driven to be the best.

We also want people who are passionate about business, have a genuine flair for building relationships with people at all levels within our organisation, and who are resilient enough to bounce back when the going gets tough.

Adaptability is crucial.  To do well here you’ll need to be able to deal with the unexpected and work on matters that are outside your experience and knowledge.

Above all, you need a big appetite for success.

To qualify for the graduate programme you’ll have a minimum of a 2:1 degree.  But whatever your skills and whatever your degree, there’s a wealth of challenge and inspiration on offer at Motability Operations.

Should you have any queries about our graduate programme, please email us at graduatecareers@motabilityoperations.co.uk

Career Opportunities at Motability Operations

Our graduate programme is unique. We provide an 18 month programme during which time you get to try out a number of different types of roles, and learn a broad range of new skills. At the end of the 18 months, you will then move into a permanent role within the business. When you apply to join our scheme, we would like to know the types of roles you are interested in. At interview stage, we will discuss this with you further, to understand more about your career aspirations, ensure we are a good fit for each other, and to help us start to plan the early stages of your career with us.

Of course, once you join us and experience a variety of roles, you may find your career interests change, in which case we will aim to change our plans, to match your own, where possible.

The types of careers and roles we can offer include the following;

Account Management

Opportunities within the business exist with an Account Management remit.  This could be in any number of areas whether it be managing the relationship with our Manufacturer groups, Dealerships (both Car and Powered Wheelchair & Scooters) or our customers.

It would suit the type of individual who is able to build strong relationships with contacts at all levels within an organisation, is an excellent communicator and can demonstrate a flexible and facilitating approach. Your skills of persuasion and negotiation will be put to the test to ensure you’re able to find mutually beneficial solutions.

Sales

Our Remarketing Sales teams sell our cars at the end of the customer lease period, through both an online and auction sales channel.  Opportunities for individuals with an interest in sales may include sales executive roles, or sales roles out on the road selling to dealerships, as well as Sales Support roles. Sales roles require energetic individuals with a “can do“ outlook, who can build good business relationships with their customers, and possess a keen approach to generating new business.

 Operations Support

Our operations teams support how we price and buy cars at the start of a customer lease, and well as supporting the pricing and tactical movement of vehicles at the end of their lease. The types of opportunities may include Pricing Analysts, Management Information and Logistics roles.

In addition, we are currently undertaking a number of strategic projects to support our longer term sustainability and growth. These projects include those related to Finance, I.T and Premises.  All roles within these projects would involve working closely with a number of key players within the organisation to deliver the objectives and drive the project forward.

All of these types of roles would suit individuals who are keen to work on large scale projects as well as those who have good analytical skills and are interested in specialising in a particular area.

Customer Service

With nearly 600,000 customers on the Motability Operations Scheme, our customer services related opportunities are vast. To be successful in this remit you need to have a passion for providing excellent customer service, the ability to work closely with both external and internal customers and continually strive to improve customer satisfaction, exceeding all expectations. You may find opportunities exist within our Customer Contact Centre; Learning & Development teams; and Dealer Contact Services department, in either a specialist or line management role.
