Our objectives are to identify, remove, reduce, or control material risk of accidents or injuries to anyone who works at or visits our premises.
We ask that all employees and visitors abide by the current Health and Safety legislation and adhere to Motability Operations’ procedures. A copy of our Health and Safety policy is available on request.
Please follow the Health and Safety notices displayed throughout all our buildings and take all reasonable measures to ensure your safety, and the safety of others, is not put at risk.
If you are ever in any area subject to special restrictions you must, where necessary, obtain and comply with the requirements and workplace precautions for that area.
General Health and Safety rules
- Always work in accordance with designated safe systems of work
- Promptly report any condition or activity which appears to be of significant risk
- Never deliberately misuse plant equipment
- Do not tamper with anything that has been provided in the interest of Health and Safety
- Report any accidents, however minor, to the Facilities team
- There is a no smoking policy throughout our premises. Please see the map for the designated smoking areas
We ask that you familiarise yourself with your local fire exit and routes as displayed within this Welcome Guide and as displayed within the buildings.
Fire alarm test
- For the purposes of familiarisation there will be an alarm test once a week on a Thursday morning between 10:30-11am unless otherwise stated
- The alarm will sound for a short time and no action needs to be taken
- If the alarm continues to sound after this time, then an evacuation of the building will be required
Persons discovering a fire
- Should you discover a fire, do not put yourself and others at risk, sound the fire alarm immediately by pressing one of the fire call points located on all floors
On hearing the fire alarm
- Leave the building by the nearest available fire exit
- Do not stop to collect personal belongings
- Do not use the lifts
- Go directly to the assembly point and remain at this location until instructed otherwise
- Do not re-enter the building until you are instructed to do so

Security
Our Security team are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- We kindly ask that your pass is kept on you and displayed at all times
- Please look out for any individuals who may be tailgating and notify Security of any suspicious activity
- If you discover a suspicious package, please move away from the item, and notify the Security team immediately
- Visitors are the responsibility of their meeting host/manager and should be signed in at Reception
Good to know
- There are showers located in the basement available for use by employees
- We offer secure cycle storage throughout the premises
- Our post room located on the lower ground floor is open for personal deliveries. We ask that they are a reasonable size and collected promptly
- Wi-Fi is available, simply connect to “MO Internet” and follow the instructions
- We have an induction loop system installed in all meeting rooms. Please contact Facilities if you require more information and support
