Responsibility and variety

We believe that everyone in our organisation should be given the opportunity to excel, that’s why we offer you a real role where you will have real responsibility to make an effective contribution from your first day.

Following a 4-week induction programme where you’ll learn the ropes and gain useful contacts across the whole organisation, the rotational programme of three 6-month placements will expose you to key areas of our business. The placements we offer are real vacancies so you will get hands-on experience of the day-to-day activities of each department, as well as involvement in projects and initiatives to help you grow your career with us.

Our graduate intake is small so we are able to consider your individual skills and aspirations alongside business need when it comes to coordinating your placements. In previous years, our graduates have had placements in Marketing, Customer Services, Finance, Project Management, Vehicle Remarketing, and Business Systems, so you are sure to find something that suits you.

Training and career development

We want to make sure that throughout the programme you are able to develop your expertise and key business skills to become an invaluable member of the Motability Operations team.

The development provided on our Graduate Programme is robust and challenging and, with a combination of on-the-job and workshop training, you will have the confidence to make in impact in each of your placements and beyond. We also ensure that you are guided through the Programme by a Sponsor from the Director team and a Mentor in senior management, so you are able to make the most of your placements with regular feedback. You will also be buddied with a current or previous Graduate who can share their experiences of the Programme with you along the way.

Reward and recognition

We expect a lot from our graduates, so in return we offer a generous reward package:

  • £29,250 per annum salary
  • £3,000 joining payment
  • Private medical insurance
  • 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 15% non-contributory pension
  • Further flexible benefits

Our work environment is unique – we are friendly and flexible whilst still being commercial, and we pride ourselves on the highest standards of customer and employee satisfaction (so much so that 96% of our colleagues would recommend us as a good place to work). We also like to ensure that our colleagues are supported both in their work and beyond, which is why we offer free weekly yoga, a cycle to work scheme, mindfulness sessions, and a confidential Employee Assistance Programme.

Where next?

Following your three placements, you can expect to have substantial insight into Motability Operations and be well-placed to take on a role outside of the programme. Many of our graduates have gone on to have lasting and varied careers within our organisation, and the skills you will gain on the programme will lay the foundations for you to be a knowledgeable, adaptable and confident future business leader
