Motability Operations achieves Disability Confident Leader status

Motability Operations has achieved Disability Confident Leader status in the government-backed Disability Confident scheme, which encourages businesses to become better at attracting, recruiting, and employing people with disabilities.

We have held the Disability Confident Employer status for several years but achieving Leader status is the highest level of the scheme and reflects our dedication to building a supportive, diverse, and inclusive business.

Sarah Lewis, Head of HR at Motability Operations said:

“Achieving Disability Confident Leader status forms an important part of our people strategy, as our focus continues to be to attract, recruit, and retain employees with disabilities. We’re really proud to be considered Leaders in this area.”

In achieving this accreditation, Motability Operations joins other organisations such as Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, Channel 4 and KPMG and will not only continue to strive for better and take positive action to attract and employ disabled talent, but also proactively share what we have learnt with other businesses.

To become a Disability Confident Leader, businesses must complete a self-assessment which is then independently validated. Motability Operations asked the Business Disability Forum, a membership organisation that has more than 20 years’ experience in this field, to validate its submission.

The Business Disability Forum Advice Service Team said:

“Motability Operations are doing a lot of great work in this field and their commitment to leading inclusive practice was evident throughout their submission.”
